  • I need to state before getting into this review I was given an ARC through Booksprout. Now with that being stated I can now get into the book review.

I also need to say that I haven’t not read the first four book in the ridge mc series and I feel that reading them isn’t necessarily needed it might help understand some of the characters. I’ll be going back and reading them sometime soon.

This story is a spicy why choose romance that combines mafia and a MC club. She does this my an arranged marriage between the Mafia princess and the VP of the MC. Don Parisi, Adelina’s Father, is basicly selling his oldest daughter because he wants to get his fingers into all the pieces of the pie. When Adelina gets to meet her “husban” for the first time her uncle comes along to act on her behalf because a mafia woman is to be seen and not heard. Though I feel as if he has some feeling for her that someone of her family shouldn’t have. The thing is Adelina isn’t the normal “Mafia Woman” she makes sure that her snark and feistiness. I love that she doesn’t just fall in line all the time. She pushes back in some ways. Her “husban” is a complete jerk, I don’t like that he has no issue with flaunting the “club bunnies” in her face. I like one of the guys in the MC, named Graff. He is a tatto artist and is a lot gentler towards her than everyone else in the MC. I can completely understand why Adelina is drawn towards him. Though in this world they need to grab and hold on with everything that they have because, with the cartel joining the mix there is so much drama and danger all around them. I can say that I am not to happy about the cliffhanger in this book but it makes me want to read the next book so, it does it’s job.

  • I need to state, before getting into this review, that I received this book from Booksprout for free. Now that that’s stated, I can get into the book review.

Run Away With Me has a small-town romance that is incredibly heartfelt. I love the fact that Calvin, the MMC, is very much a protective cowboy. I am very proud of how Raelynn was written; she shows great strength as she tries to escape her past. I felt that the audiobook was uneven at times. I do need to state that it was kind of hard to tell who was talking sometimes; it felt as if there was absolutely no differentiation in her voice, the narrator’s, to distinguish between characters. However, I do want to say that there was emotion inflection to what was happening in the story. I like this story, but I am going to have to get the book, either in ebook or physical form, so that I can enjoy it more. I do hope to read/listen to more books by Amerie Summers. The way Audible has the page for this book set up is that it will link to more stories. I do hope that the author picks a different narrator for the following books.

One of the main things I want to point out is that this isn’t a “clean” book, there is some spicy that happens thought the book. While I don’t personally care about the spice I do need to mention that it is in this book because the author is claiming that it is a clean book. I’ve seen somepeople claiming that cussing in this book makes it not clean as well. I don’t believe that. Cussing is a normal part of college life, so is spicy time. I couldn’t finish the book because most of the interaction between the main characters are awkward. They feel forced. There is so much potential with this book. Kiva is really good at writing clean romances. So, I think that this book was an attempt to branch out and was mislabeled as “clean”.

I don’t know what to rate this because I was unable to finish it. So, I’m going to give it 3 stars because I feel like it could’ve been a good book if I was able to set aside my feelings of it being awkward. I was just unable to push through that.

This book follows Fiona and Dex (Declan). Fiona overplanned her wedding to Owen. She had everything planned down to the minute. When in my option makes her a bidezilla, her own friends call her a bridezilla. Sadly Owen takes off a few days before their wedding with a weird apology. Throught out the book Fiona and Dex end up getting closer. I feel that the novel is romantic and has a good sense of humor, it never discounts the emotional fallout of being basically left at the altar. This book is a slow-burn romance that builds between Fiona and Dex.

This book follows Mia and Thom (Thomas). Mia is now the only singleton in her girl group and meets Thom at a wedding reception of her friend Nina. Thom shows up at her restaurant, that she inherited from her mother, two weeks later. He wants to franchise her restaurant and she is trying to prove to him that just copy pasting her restaurant in other towns across the state isn’t going to work. Mia thinks that having him work at the restaurant for two months will show him that he can’t franchise her restaurant. The banter between these to feels natural. There are a decent amount of emotional moments that hit with authenticity without detracting from the light and joyful tone. The way that their romance blooms despite their different backgrounds. It’s worth the read.
